BKM | Berkemeyer closes financing for Paraguay’s first PPP project

BKM | Berkemeyer advised Rutas del Este, the consortium building Paraguay’s first PPP road, on obtaining a $50 million loan.

 

 

 Goldman Sachs structured the loan while Sudameris Bank, Banco Atlas, Banco Regional, Banco Continental were on the bank syndicate and Visión Banco acted as trustee.

 The short term loan is understood to be the initial phase of a long term financing for the construction of the road.

 Partners Hugo T. Berkemeyer and Martín Carlevaro led the team advising Rutas del Este

 BKM | Berkemeyer advised the consortium throughout the full bidding process and is now tasked with taking the project to completion for Rutas del Este.
