FMO instructs Pellerano on solar project refinancing in the DR
Pellerano & Herrera advised The Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) in the $38 million refinancing granted to GES for the development of Monte Plata Solar, a solar energy plant in the Dominican Republic.
GES (General Energy Solution) is a Taiwanese renewable energy company. In the Dominican Republic, GES is developing the Monte Plata Solar projecy, which is reportedly the largest to date in the country and in the Caribbean, with a capacity of of 69MW.
Pellerano & Herrera was also instructed on the first phase on this project in 2016. Now, on this second phase, the team handled due diligence, revision of the financing agreement and assistance in the negotiation of the security package for FMO.
