Norton Rose Fulbright hires finance partner from Mayer Brown in New York
Norton Rose Fulbright announced that George Baptista, a Latin America-focused finance and capital markets lawyer, has joined the firm as a partner.
Baptista focuses his practice on Latin America, working with issuers and underwriters on international securities offerings. He also has experience in corporate, multilateral and infrastructure-related financings in the emerging markets.
He received his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and his BA, magna cum laude, from Brown University. Baptista is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in Portuguese and French. He is admitted to practice in New York.
Prior to the move, Baptista was a partner at Mayer Brown in New York.
