Demarest advises Sandvik on Hyperion divestment
Sandvik instructed Demarest on the Brazilian aspects of the $475 million of Hyperion to KKR.
Sandvik Group is a high-tech engineering group specializing on metal-cutting equipment and tools. The company is headquartered in Sweden and employs over 43,000 staff in 150 countries.
Hyperion produces advanced wear-resistant tools, applications and components in hard and super-hard materials. Until the sale, it was division of Sandvik.
Demarest acted for Sandvik in the sale of its Brazilian unit Sandvik Ferramentas Industria E Comércio as part of the global divestiture of Hyperion.
The buyer, KKR, is a global investment firm listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
