Sports firm Senn Ferrero opens Mexico office
Madrid-headquartered sports law firm Senn Ferrero, Asociados has announced the opening of an office in Mexico City’s Santa Fé business district.
The firm will be led by Luis Torres Septién, who has joined Senn Ferrero as partner.
Torres Septién was formerly a lawyer at Mijares, Angoitia Cortés y Fuentes where he specialised in advising on contentious matters involving the Tribunal Arbitral du Sport (TAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, as well as disciplinary proceedings involving the Mexican Football Federation, FIFA and CONCACAF.
He has also held roles at football clubs, namely Club Necaxa and Atlético de Madrid.
Senn Ferrero – a boutique law firm that specialises in the entertainment sector as well as sport – has six partners in Madrid, all of whom previously worked at Garrigues. They are Julio Senn, Javier Ferrero, Alfedo Garzón, Ignacio Sáenz de Cenzano, Iñigo de Lacalle and Eduardo Montejo Rodrigo.
Senn was previously managing director at Real Madrid Football Club. The firm also has close relationships with a number of other professional football clubs around Europe – the firm’s counsel Erdem Veral also performs the role of legal counsel to Watford Football Club in the UK.
