Marval counsels banks on $500m Telecom Argentina loan
Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal acted as legal counsel to Citibank, HSBC México, Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero HSBC, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Dubai Branch, JPMorgan Chase Bank and Banco Santander on the granting of a $500 million syndicated loan to Telecom Argentina.
The loan will be used to repay half of a $1 billion bridge facility the company received in February of this year, according to the law firm.
Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal acted as special Argentinian counsel with partner Juan M. Diehl Moreno and associate Sergio Tálamo.
The in-house counsels for the banks were Nicolás Pertiné and Carlos Vasallo at Citibank, Shafiq Perry, Will Clark and Jesús Contreras Licea at HSBC, Matías Filippo at ICBC, Mariana Álvarez Gaiani, José Luis Foglia and Lucía Repetto at JPMOrgan, and Eduardo Ramos and Ignacio García Deibe at Banco Santander.
