Pérez Alati advises Pecom on Bolland acquisition

Argentinian law firm Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen has advised Pecom Servicios Energía on its 100-percent acquisition of oilfield services company Bolland.

BollandPecom is part of local conglomerate Grupo Pérez Companc, while Bolland manufactures oil pumps and provides chemical solutions for oil well optimisation.

“The acquisition of Bolland allows us to make Pecom a bigger national player in the oil services market,” Grupo Pérez Compac’s CEO Pablo Antúnez said. “The new Pecom will have a competitive advantage of offering operators integrl solutions, form O&M to mechanical pumps, electricity and telecommunications.” 

“In O&M, Bolland provides services in geographical areas where Pecom is not present, such as northern Santa Cruz and southern Mendoza,” he added.

Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen’s role as counsel involved substantial legal auditing and planning, which also included Bolland’s subsidiaries in Colombia, Centro de Distribución Química; in Brazil, Bolland Do Brasil; and in Bolivia, Bolland y Cía Sucursal Bolivia.

The share purchase is valued at $111.7 million and was closed on 31 October.

Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen lawyers advising Pecom were partner Eugenio Aramburu, senior associate Tomás Perez Alati and associates Estefanía Balduzzi, Cristian Chang, and Juan A. Negri.

Pecom’s in-house lawyers Guido D’Angelo, Gustavo Hours and Eduardo Arzeno also advised on the deal, while Bolland was advised by partner Mario Orts at Bazan, Cambre & Orts, and by Tomás P. Coppola at Eppens & Coppola Abogados Consultores.
