Carey counsels MetLife on RE deal
Chilean law firm Carey has counselled MetLife Chile Seguros de Vida on the purchase of El Bosque 90, the company that owns the eponymous office building in Santiago, in a transaction valued at $90 million.
The 13,000 square metre office building (pictured), built in 1989 and designed by BSchneider architects, is located in the upscale Las Condes neighbourhood, and was Chile’s first ‘intelligent building’.
MetLife was also counselled by Fontaine y Cía., while El Bosque 90 was advised by law firm Garrigues.
The Carey team advising Metlife Chile Seguros de Vida comprised partners Pablo Iacobelli and Cristián Figueroa, counsel Patricia Silberman, tax director Alejandra Risso, and associates Carolina Said, Héctor Herrera, Ximena Silberman and María Ignacia Amtmann.
