Marval advises Globant on Avanxo buyout
Argentinian law firm Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal has advised software developer Globant on its acquisition of cloud computing company Avanxo for $49 million in a deal spanning various jurisdictions across Latin America.
Globant operates in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay, as well as in the UK and the US.
Marval’s team was led by partners Hernán Slemenson, María Inés Brandt and Santiago del Río, and associates Daniela Bianchi, Matías Brouchy, Fernanda Agustina Reinés, Ignacio Mora, Luciana Virgile, Pedro Cressall and Eugenio Manzo.
Bermuda-based Avanxo offers cloud computing solutions actoss Latin America and has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and the US, and was advised by law firm Philippi, Prietrocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU) in Colombia on the transaction.
The transaction required coordination across multiple jurisdictions, given Avanxo’s operations across Latin America, the law firm said.
Globant was advised in Colombia by Gómez Pinzón Abogados, with a team led by partner Natalia García Arenas and associates Emanuela Guevara Fadul and Santiago Peláez Martínez.
