PPU acts for Telepizza Chile on asset acquisitions

Chilean law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU) has acted as counsel to Telepizza Chile in the acquisition of assets to continue its use of the Pizza Hut brand in in the country.

Spanish company Telepizza and Texas, US-headquartered Pizza Hut formed an alliance in May 2018, under which the former controls Pizza Hut’s branches in Chile and Latin America, with the exception of Brazil.

In Chile the two companies jointly enjoy a 70 per cent market share.

PPU partners Rafael Jiménez and Ignacio Larraín, together with associates María Fernanda Peters, Álvaro Espinosa and Catalina Montero, advised on the acquisitions.
