Holland & Knight represents ICBC in $8bn Pemex loan

Law firm Holland & Knight has represented the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) on a recent financing totalling $8 billion for Mexico’s state oil company Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), for which ICBC acted as part of a syndicated lenders party.

Alejandro Landra Thierry H&KThe transaction was divided into a senior unsecured syndicated term loan facility agreement for an amount up to $2.5 billion, and a senior unsecured syndicated revolving credit facility agreement for an amount up to $5.5 billion.

Mizuho Bank acted as administrative agent and global coordinator. HSBC Securities (USA) and JPMorgan Chase Bank acted as global coordinators.

ICBC is the largest bank in China and the largest bank in the world by total assets.
