Dentons Muñoz adds two lawyers in Nicaragua
Dentons Muñoz Nicaragua is expanding with the hiring of two seasoned attorneys to join the team, less than a year since the firm opened its office in Managua, with the addition of an of counsel and a senior associate.
Oliver Salazar is an experienced litigation attorney with over 20 years of experience in civil, corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, and dispute resolution. His success rate in the Nicaragua courts makes him a feared adversary for those who find themselves on the opposite side of the courtroom. He will join Dentons Muñoz as Of Counsel.
Gabriel Alvarado will join the Managua office as senior associate. His expertise includes private and public sector counseling, civil, constitutional, real estate, labor and family law proceedings and assisting national and foreign clients in portfolio recovery.
“Welcoming Gabriel and Oliver to the firm will, no doubt, strengthen our client service offering and expand the capabilities of our accomplished team. Our colleagues in Nicaragua and Central America, as well as our local and regional clients will benefit from their knowledge and experience in multiple areas of law,” according to Edgard Torres, managing partner of Dentons Muñoz in Nicaragua.
“We are truly impressed by the quick growth and positioning the Dentons Nicaragua team has been able to achieve in such a short period of time and under such difficult national circumstances. To have a need to grow the team so quickly is a testament to the hard work Edgard and the team has put forth to get the Dentons name out to the public,” José Antonio Muñoz, the firm’s regional managing partner, said.
