Mexico’s Nader, Hayaux & Goebel recruits new tax partner
Mexican law firm Nader, Hayaux & Goebel has recruited Ángel Escalante Carpio as a partner in the firm’s tax practice.
In addition to tax, Escalante (pictured) also specialises in international trade and anti-money laundering, having advised multinational companies investing in Mexico and Latin America.
The tax practice has been involved in very large and complex transactions across a variety of industries, according to the law firm.
Escalante has advised clients for more than 15 years in industries such as real estate, pharmaceuticals, logistics, transportation, consumer goods and retail. He gained a law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho and is a certified professional in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism Financing by the Mexican Banking and Securities Commission.
He will work with three associates in the practice.
The head of the firm’s tax practice, Adalberto Valadéz, said Escalante’s arrival “will allow the firm to provide broader services for our clients’ benefit”.
