Brazil’s BMA hires new corporate and M&A partner
Brazilian law firm Barbosa, Müssnich, Aragão (BMA) has hired Maria da Paz Tierno Lopez as a partner in its corporate and M&A practice.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Lusíada in Lisbon, and with a master’s degree from Fordham University School of Law in New York, Maria da Paz (pictured) has ample experience advising international clients in cross-border transactions in Latin America and Europe, involving both in-bound and outbound M&A, the firm said in a statement.
Maria da Paz is based in the firm’s São Paulo offices, where she led Cuatrecasas’ office between 2016-18.
BMA also has offices in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia.
