Guerrero Olivos acts for CGE, Naturgy on Transemel sale

Chilean law firm Guerrero Olivos has acted as counsel to local electricity transmission company CGE and its parent company Naturgy, formerly known as Gas Natural Fenosa, on the sale of Transemel to Portuguese utility Redes Energéticas Nacionais (REN).


Roberto Guerrero of Guerrero OlivosTransemel is an electricity transmission company. REN made the acquisition through its affiliates Apolo Chile and Aerio Chile, and was advised by Prieto Abogados.
 
The acquisition was valued at $167 million and is the second large investment in Chile by REN, after it acquired a 42.5 per cenr stake in Electrogas from Italian company Enel in 2017.



Gas Natural Fenosa had acquired a 96.5 per cent stake in CGE in 2014.
