Chile’s Quiñenco engages PPU for insurance business sell-off
Law firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría’s corporate and M&A team advised Chilean conglomerate Quiñenco, acting through its subsidiary Inmobiliaria Norte Verde, in the sale of Inversiones Vita, the controlling entity of the Banchile Seguros de Vida and Segchile Seguros Generales insurance companies, to local entities controlled by Chubb.
Quiñenco controls businesses in the industrial, financial, energy, transport and food and beverages industries, and is one of Chile’s largest conglomerates.
