TozziniFreire advises Akamai on Exceda acquisition
Brazilian law firm TozziniFreire Advogados has advised Akamai do Brasil, a content delivery network, on its agreement to acquire Exceda, its largest channel partner in Latin America.
Exceda became a channel partner of Akamai in 2002 and quickly emerged as the company’s largest partner in Latin America. Exceda sells Akamai’s complete product portfolio and operates in seven Latin American countries, with offices in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico.
The deal is subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions precedent established in the agreement.
The combination of Akamai’s and Exceda’s teams will contribute to the faster expansion of Akamai’s Latin American business, according to the law firm.
