Barros & Errázuriz counsels Delta on $4bn partnership deal with LATAM Airlines
Chilean law firm Barros & Errázuriz has acted for Delta on its creation of a strategic alliance with LATAM Airlines, which includes the purchase of a 20-per cent stake in the airline through a public share offering, and obliges Delta to purchase 14 of LATAM’s aircraft between 2020 and 2025.
The deal is valued at $4 billion and will allow Delta to have a representation on the Chilean airline’s board and increase its connectivity by adding new routes.
The Barros & Errázuriz partners that advised on the deal were Pablo Guerrero Valenzuela and Sergio Eguiguren Ebensperger.
