Colbs in Costa Rica recruits lawyer Víctor Murillo
Colbs Legal Studio has hired Víctor Murillo, a lawyer with ample local and international experience, to boost the Costa Rican law firm’s services.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Murillo has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica, and in multinational companies as an in-house counsel, including Unilever, British American Tobacco Caribbean and Central America, Walmart Mexico and Central America, and Tigo/Millicom.
“Colbs Legal Studio was born with a comprehensive and full awareness of the changes demanded by the legal market, with the clear objective of focussing on breaking the pattern of large law firms in order to offer ingenious and individualised solutions for each client, and that’s why we recruit and retain bright, dynamic individuals who provide top tier legal representation to a diverse and constantly expanding client base,” Javier Escalante, founding partner of Colbs Legal Studio, said.
“Joining Colbs opens up the possibilities to continue moving forward and growing in the field of providing legal services, and developing new skills in non-traditional service areas,” Víctor Murillo (pictured) said.
“Being part of this team allows [us] to look for new market niches through novel and disruptive dynamics in the legal services market,” he added.
Murillo has featured in The Legal 500’s ‘power list’ for three consecutive years (2016-18).
“Víctor comes to complement us in service areas such as pensions and retirement, technology, regulatory affairs and government relations, and corporate law and strategy, Escalante said.
