Exceda engages Jones Day for sale to Akamai

Law firm Jones Day has cted for Exceda in connection with the sale of the company, and related assets in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and the US, to Akamai Technologies.

Marcello Hallake of Jones DayExceda was Akamai’s largest channel partner in Latin America, offering the full portfolio of Akamai products. 

The combined Akamai and Exceda teams will allow Akamai to scale its Latin American business to meet the increasing demand for security and web acceleration services, as well as cloud infrastructure investments in the region, the two companies said in a joint statement.



The core Jones Day team advising Exceda was led by Marcello Hallake (pictured), in São Paulo and New York, and included Nathalia Cipelli in São Paulo.
