Holland & Knight acts as Colombian counsel on GeoPark debt issuance
Holland & Knight has acted as Colombian counsel to GeoPark Limited in the issuance of $350 million 5.500 per cent senior notes due 2027.
The notes are guaranteed by GeoPark Chile and GeoPark Colombia, and, in the future, by certain subsidiaries that guarantee or incur indebtedness in excess of $100 million.
The notes were issued on January 17. Citigroup Global Markets and Itau BBA USA Securities acted as initial purchasers of the issuance.
GeoPark is an independent Latin American oil and gas explorer, operator and consolidator with operations and growth platforms in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Ecuador. The company intends to use the proceeds to finance its recent acquisition of Amerisur Resources and for general corporate purposes.
