BLP promotes banking and finance partner in Costa Rica

BLP has strengthened its banking and finance practice with the promotion of Julio Castellanos to partner in the Costa Rica office, bringing the firm’s partner count to 33 across Central America.

Castellanos (pictured) is a banking and finance specialist and joined BLP as an assocate in 2011. He has a master’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Boston.

With 17 years’ experience as a lawyer, he has advised local and international financial institutions on multi-jurisdictional credit facilities for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects in Central America, as well as advising on public contracts.
