Pinheiro Neto advises Raízen Energia on buyout of sugar cane producer

Brazilian law firm Pinheiro Neto has advised Raízen Energia on its acquisition of Nova América Agrícola Caarapó, a sugar cane producer and a subsidiary of Grupo NovAmerica, and which has a presence in Caarapó, in Mato Grosso state.

Through this transaction, Raízen Energia will acquire 100 per cenr of the quotas representing target corporate stock. The transaction value will be paid by buyer through a capital injection in the target company, as well as the purchase of all quotas held by the selling partners.

The value of the transaction is confidential.
