Bogotá to host 2021 World Law Congress
Colombia’s capital Bogotá will host the 2021 World Law Congress from February 8-10, which will bring together lawyers from across the globe.
Javier Cremades, president of the World Jurist Association and the World Law Foundation, which organise the bi-annual event, said the 2021 edition seeks to be acknowledgement by the international legal community of the commitment by Colombia to the defence and strengthening of the rule of law and its institutions against the plague of violence and its efforts to build and consolidate a society of opportunities that is freer and more just for everybody.
The event will include the awarding of the World Peace & Liberty Award to an oustanding legal professional, and which is regarded as the ‘Nobel Prize of Law’.
