EY Law advises Trina Solar on Colombia project financing

EY Law has advised Trina Solar on the closing of a project finance structure for $12 million for the construction of the Parque Solar Bosques de los Llanos 1 solar plant in Colombia.

ey ximena zuluaga v2.jpg.rendition.450.300The lenders are the national financing corporation, Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional, and Bank Davivienda.

This is the first project finance structure implemented in Colombia for non-conventional renewable energy projects.

Founded in 1997, Trina Solar is a global provider of photovoltaic module and smart energy solutions.

The EY Law Colombia team was led by partner Ximena Zuluaga (pictured), senior manager Camila González, and manager Carolina Parra, and with the support of EY Law professionals Vanessa Diaz, Alejandro Romero and Gabriel Gómez; and the IITS team of partner Luis Sánchez, manager Andrea Catalina González and senior Milena Traslaviña.
