Veirano adds R&I partner

Brazil’s Veirano Advogados has recruited Paulo Fernando Campana Filho as a new partner in its restructuring and insolvency (R&I) practice in São Paulo.

Paulo advises debtors, creditors and investors on all matters encompassing bankruptcy and insolvency law, both in and out of court. His practice covers restructuring of debt and reorganization of businesses, as well as investment and acquisition of distressed companies or assets.

Boasting a track record of over 100 domestic and cross-border transactions, Paulo Campana has participated in some of the highest-profile restructuring cases in the last decade.

Recognised as a leading individual in bankruptcy and restructuring by Chambers Latin America, Paulo is considered by clients and peers as hands-on and creative and a brilliant academic.

Paulo Campana has carried out extensive research activity on cross-border insolvencies and restructurings of multinational companies, having participated in research groups at Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and in drafting amendments to the bankruptcy law. He is an active member of leading domestic and international associations in the field of insolvency and restructuring. Additionally, he is the first Brazilian alumni of the next generation programs of both the International Insolvency Institute (III) and the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ).

Paulo is a law graduate from Universidade de São Paulo (2003), with an LLM from the Universidade de Coimbra (2007) and a doctorate in business law from Universidade de São Paulo (2013).
