Morgan & Morgan advises AlphaCredit on capital raise
Morgan & Morgan has advised Alpha Holding, the parent company of AlphaCredit, a technology-enabled financial platform specialised in consumer lending and financial solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, on a $125 million capital raise from a group of investors led by Japanese fund Softbank.
The Panamian law firm also assisted in a a corporate reorganisation that includes the jurisdiction of Panama.
AlphaCredit uses a programmed deduction system to provide rapid, online loans to individuals and small businesses. To date, the startup has granted more than $1 billion in loans to small business clients in Mexico and Colombia, many of whom had never previously had access to financing.
