DLA Piper hires new infrastructure head in Colombia
Paola Aldana has joined DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán in Colombia as a partner and head of the Infrastructure practice.
Aldana (pictured), who will be based in the Bogotá office, has more than 16 years of experience in the infrastructure sector and focuses her practice on advising private and public entities in all stages of infrastructure projects and public-private partnership agreements, including the structuring of transportation and mobility projects.
“The Colombian infrastructure sector has been one of the main engines of the country’s economy over the last decade and will be of great importance in the coming years. The addition of Paola to our well-established Infrastructure practice will be incredibly beneficial to clients and will allow us to continue providing top-quality services in this area,” Camilo Martinez, managing partner of DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán, said.
Aldana has been the infrastructure practice head at another Colombian law firm, served as general counsel of several infrastructure companies in Colombia and worked in the New York office of Dechert.
In 2013, Aldana participated in the professional fellow program of the US State Department.
She received her law degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
