Cleary Gottlieb represents Brazil in $3.5bn bond offering

Cleary Gottlieb has represented Brazil in a $3.5 billion SEC-registered bond offering.

Juan Giráldez of Cleary GottliebThe offering comprised a $1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of 2.875 per cent global bonds due 2025, and a $2.25 billion aggregate principal amount of 3.875 per cent global bonds due 2030.

BofA Securities, Deutsche Bank Securities, Itau BBA and JP Morgan acted as joint lead managers for the offering.

The global notes were registered with the SEC under Brazil’s registration statement on Schedule B and were listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on June 11, 2020.
