Guarnera guides PSC in contract with Enel in Brazil

Italian-Brazilian law firm Guarnera Advogados has acted for the Brazilian affiliate of PSC, the Italian engineering, procurement and construction company, on the signing of a contract with CELG, an Enel Group company, for the supply of technical and commercial services in medium- and low-voltage networks in the Brazilian state of Goiás.

Giacomo Guarnera of Guarnera AdvogadosThe contract is valued at around €15 million ($16.8 million) and has a duration of three years.

This operation consolidates the presence of PSC Group in Latin America, which in 2019 acquired Ensinco, a company that also offers maintenance services for electrical distribution networks, as well as acquiring Alpitel, which includes also Alpitel Brazil, a company specialising in the telecommunications sector.

“We have decided to strongly support PSC in a very delicate and significant operation, thus facing the challenge by the Italian group to invest in Brazil in a period of serious economic emergency caused by the spread of the coronavirus,” Giacomo Guarnera (pictured), founding partner of Guarnera Advogados, said.

“This operation is part of the medium and long-term objectives of PSC Group, which has identified South America as a great opportunity for growth, and which will allow PSC America to further increase its revenues,” Umberto Pesce, president of PSC Group, said.
