Ambipar engages Simpson Thacher for Brazil IPO
Simpson Thacher has represented Brazilian waste mamangement company Ambipar Participações e Empreendimentos in connection with its initial public offering of 38,028,987 common shares on the São Paulo Stock Exchange at a public offering price of 24.75 reais ($4.77) per common share.
The offering excluded common shares to be sold pursuant to the underwriters’ over-allotment option.
The offering raised 941 million reais ($181.5 million) in gross proceeds for Ambipar.
The common shares were offered to certain qualified institutional buyers under Rule 144A in the US and to non-US persons outside the United States in reliance upon Regulation S.
Ambipar’s common shares began trading on the São Paulo Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol AMBP3 on July 14.
Ambipar provides services related to waste management and recovery, prevention, training and emergency assistance through more than 150 operational bases located in more than 15 countries and territories.
