Carey secures loan for Brookfield’s Chilean affiliate

Chilean law firm Carey has acted as counsel to Brookfield Asset Management on a credit agreement for approximately $12 million, granted by Itaú Corpbanca.

salvador valdes of CareyThe loan was granted to Brookfield’s Chilean affiliate Brookfield Americas Infrastructure Holdings Chile. Brookfield is a Toronto-based asset management company with offices in New York, London and Rio de Janeiro.

Carey’s team was led by partner Salvador Valdés (pictured), with associates Arturo Poblete and Loreto Joannon.
