Colombian law firm Godoy Hoyos has rebranded, changing its name to Goh

Catalina HoyosThe law firm, which has offices in Bogotá and Medellín, was co-founded by partners Catalina Hoyos (pictured) and Juan Pablo Godoy, and focuses on tax law, corporate and M&A, conflict resolution, infrastructure, customs and foreign trade, energy and natural resources, and arbitration.

The firm “is a great legal services boutique with a team that has a solid professional background and ample experience, oriented towards seeking solutions for its clients and adding value to satisfy their needs,” Goh said in a statement.

Catalina Hoyos, based in the firm’s Bogotá office, is in charge of the firm’s tax and tax litigation practices, and has ample experience in arbitration and litigation, as well as in transfer pricing disputes, mergers and acquisitions, the definition of tax policies, the digital economy, capital markets and international matters.

Commenting on the firm’s change of name and image, Catalina said, “we want this to be a brand that is seen, that is heard, that has a rhythm, that allows us to transmit to our clients how close we are to them, along with our power of innovation and transformation, and, of course, we want to be a brand that is remembered”.

Catalina’s credibility is impressive, not only among her peers and clients, but also with respect to the authorities that launch public policies in the country,” the law firm said in a statement to announce the name change.

“Undoubtedly, she is a lawyer with a keen understanding of the changes that the world has undergone in recent years, and with the ability to foresee the challenges that confront companies and institutions as a consequence of such changes,” it added.

Juan Pablo has worked as in-house lawyer at several companies, experience that enabled him to develop a keen sensibility for the repercussions of legal matters in business and corporate dynamics, and as managing partner of the firm he has provided legal advice to a large number of professional production associations in Colombia, the firm added.
