Pinheiro Neto advises dealer managers on Petrobras notes issuance

Pinheiro Neto Advogados has counselled the bookrunners on the $4 billion operation

Pinheiro Neto Advogados advised as external legal counsel of the bookrunners on the Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras notes issuance. A consortium of banks acted as dealer managers: BB Securities Limited, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Mizuho Securities USA LLC and MUFG Securities Americas Inc.

Tender offers to purchase for cash by Petrobras Global Finance B.V. (“PGF”) of any and all of its outstanding notes of 19 different series of Global Notes. The amount of the transaction reached $4 billion.

Pinheiro Neto team was led by partner Ricardo Russo (pictured), and involved counsel Marcos Saldanha Proença, associate Gustavo Guedes Araújo, and trainee Luísa Reis Lopes Correia.

Shearman & Sterling LLP acted as bookrunners’ external US legal counsel, and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP was the issuer’s External US Legal Counsel.
