ECIJA strengthens its presence in Guatemala with Integrum
ECIJA has blended with Integrum in Guatemala and will operate under the ECIJA INTEGRUM brand
ECIJA continues its ambitious growth strategy in Latin America as part of the firm’s strategic plan to consolidate its position as the leader in the region, where it already has a presence in 12 countries with over 600 professionals.
Integrum, a leading firm in the Guatemalan market, will renew ECIJA’s practice in the country. Integrum has more than 23 years of history and is one of the most recognized firms in its respective areas of expertise, standing out in the Guatemalan market for its expertise in Competition Law, Oil & Gas, Dispute Resolution: Litigation and Arbitration, Corporate and M&A, Compliance, Tax, Labour and Infrastructure, among others. ECIJA’s new team in Guatemala, where ECIJA has been operating since 2018, will temporarily operate under the ECIJA INTEGRUM brand.
The operation means the welcome to ECIJA of a total of 13 new professionals and three partners: founding partner Marcos Palma (pictured), Edson López and Pablo Cóbar, with a broad professional experience in the Central American market. Thus, ECIJA now has a total of 26 offices in 15 countries, 125 partners and more than 600 professionals worldwide, through its presence in Europe and Latin America.
The new integration takes place shortly after the integration of ECIJA with the Ecuadorian firm ECIJA GPA, and the Brazilian CTA ECIJA, thus reinforcing not only the firm’s position as the most extensive Spanish firm in Latin America but also its leadership in the Energy and Natural Resources practice in the region.
