TozziniFreire has hired Lisandra Pacheco as Tax partner in São Paulo office

TozziniFreire reinforces the Tax area by hiring Lisandra dos Santos Pacheco Nardi (pictured) as a new partner. Thus, the firm strengthens, the department lead by Gustavo Nygaard, and faces the tributary reform annñunced by the Brazilian administration.

Pacheco was head of Indirect Taxes and Foreign Trade at Schneider, Pugliese Advogados, and partner at PWN Consultoria Tributária. She was a senior Tax lawyer at Machado Meyer before that.

Lisandra Pacheco is highly skilled in indirect taxes and global trade, with a focus on Advisory and Administrative litigation, assisting local and foreign companies from different economic industries in the search for greater tax efficiency and risk mitigation. Her experience encompasses interaction with tax authorities to obtain special regimes, presentation of formal consultations, as well as extremely technical issues, acting jointly with renowned specialized entities in cases of tariff classification of goods, ex-tariffs and tax credit analysis, among others. Beyond her broad legal expertise, Lisandra also has excellent practical knowledge of ancillary Tax obligations and customs duties. She has international practice, having worked as a secondment at Cuatrecasas Abogados, in Spain.

Pacheco studied at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and has a Master’s degree in Tax Law by the University of Virginia.
