Carey counsels Marcopolo on public transportation agreement
Carey has advised the Brazilian company on a Chilean public transportation deal
Carey assisted Marcopolo, as seller and lender, on a purchase agreement for $7.56 million granted to Ascendal BMCO, as buyer and borrower, to finance the acquisition of 70 buses for the public transportation system in Punta Arenas, Chile.
Carey team was led by partner Diego Peralta (pictured), and involved associates Felipe Tupper, Fernanda Valdés, Kriss Andía, and Nadia Jara.
PPU Chile acted as counsel to the buyer, Ascendal BMCO, with a team formed by partner Eduardo Escalona, and associates Pedro Pablo Valenzuela, Santiago Mesías, and Vera Yacher.
Marcopolo inhouse lawyer Juliana Schenkel, and Wilma Antunes as financial advisor were also involved in the operation.
