Carey advises Banco Santander on Papelera del Plata facility contract amendment
Carey has counselled Banco Santander to fit in the new situation of the company
Carey assisted Banco Santander on the amendment to (and granting of a restated version of) a facility agreement initially entered into with La Papelera del Plata, for a total amount to be disbursed, as principal, of up to approx. $35 million, to adequate such agreement as a consequence of its assignment by La Papelera del Plata to Inversiones CMPC.
Carey team was led by partner Felipe Moro (pictured), and involved associates Fernando Noriega and Rafael Mackay.
Clifford Chance also assisted as international counsel to Banco Santander.
Barros & Errázuriz acted as local counsel to Inversiones CMPC and Empresas CMPC with a team led by director Juan Cristóbal Schmidt, and involved associate Juan Ignacio Galdámez.
Sullivan & Cromwell acted as international counsel to Inversiones CMPC and Empresas CMPC.
CMPC in-house lawyers Andrés Parker and Rafael Cox guied the transaction.
