PPU Colombia counsels Alpha on refinancing debt

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría advised as local counsel to Alpha Capital S.A.S. as Borrower and Alpha Credit S.A. de C.V. and its subsidiaries as Guarantors under a bridge loan agreement of MXN$500,000,000 ($25 million) granted by Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc. to repay the borrower’s existing debt and to finance the origination of the paycheck loans granted by the borrower in Colombia.

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría acted as local counsel to the borrower and Alpha Credit S.A. de C.V. and its subsidiaries as guarantors with a team led by partner Hernando Padilla (pictured), and involved associates Paula Buriticá, Ximena Gonzalez, Santiago Fuquen, and Héctor Ramírez.

White and Case LLP acted as New York counsel to the borrower and guarantors with a team formed by partner Bibiana Jaimes and associates Stephanie Rohlfs and Diego Cánepa.

Creel, García-Cuellar intervened as Mexican counsel to the borrower and guarantors with a teadm formed by partner Emilio Aarún, and associates José Pablo Buenfil and Maria Luisa Gutierrez.
