Oppenhoff has advised the CCE Group (Austria) in the implementation of the 107 MWp large-scale solar park “Sol de Varas” in northern Chile. Oppenhoff accompanied the complex structuring, preparation and negotiation process for the construction, operation and maintenance of the large-scale solar park (EPC and O&M contracts), which is designed to have a lifetime of approximately 30 years.
The Oppenhoff team led by Edder Cifuentes (Chilean law, Co-Head of the Latin America Desk and member of Oppenhoff’s Energy & Infrastructure Group) included Alf Baars and Simon Sawert (Corporate/M&A). The CCE Group was also advised by Bofill Mir & Álvarez Jana Abogados (Santiago de Chile) on Chilean law matters.
With the Sol de Varas project, Oppenhoff continues to consolidate its track record in advising on large-scale renewable energy projects in Chile: the independent German law firm has already advised on projects totalling more than 400 MWp, which will supply around 200,000 households with green energy.
