Lefosse Advogados advises Porto Seguro in the creation of an investment fund

Brazilian insurance group Porto Seguro has structured an investment fund with the help of Gonçalo Godinho, partner of Lefosse Advogados

After the formation of the Fund, Lefosse Advogados also acted as a consultant for the Fund in the acquisition of a majority stake in Segfy Tecnologia S.A. (“Segfy”), a technology company whose main product is a solution platform for insurance brokers.

The formation of Porto Venture – Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia, organized as a private equity investment fund (“Fund”), aims to serve as an investment vehicle for investments in corporate ventures.

The Fund is managed by Santander and is the first equity investment fund structured by Porto Seguro.

Tedeschi e Padilha and BVA – Barreto Veiga e Advogados have acted as advisors to Segfy and the selling shareholders.
