The law firms Pinheiro Neto, TozziniFreire and Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr., and Quiroga have joined the cause Unidos pela Vacina, a civil society movement that brings together hundreds of entities, companies, firms, associations and NGOs for the purpose of making it feasible for all Brazilians to be vaccinated by September 2021.

The mobilization came about through the initiative of the Women of Brazil group, led by businesswoman Luiza Helena Trajano. The project aims to engage the society, together with businessmen from all over Brazil, to contribute to the vaccination project against Covid-19 conducted by the Unified Health System (SUS).

The group is called legal core and is composed of one representative from each of the three law firms. Pinheiro Neto partner Renê Medrado (pictured left) has been invited to join the legal coordination of Unidos pela Vacina, along with Clara Serva (pictured centre) from TozziniFreire and Flávia Regina Oliveira (pictured right) from Mattos Filho.

The legal core is responsible for preparing the documents that will guide the project’s governance rules and best practices, as well as the orientation in the resolution of any issues that may arise during the movement’s activities. The group holds weekly meetings in which several legal issues are presented, including compliance, contractual issues, and life sciences.
