Machado Meyer advises TAM in LATAM’s R$13.84bn Dip Financing
Machado Meyer Advogados represented TAM Linhas Aéreas S.A. in the financial reorganization of LATAM Airlines Group, in the amount of R$13,849,360,000.00 equivalent to USD 2,450,000,000.00
The transaction consisted in the Dip Financing of LATAM Airlines Group, the largest airline in Latin America, in the context of the Chapter 11 proceeding filed with the United States Bankruptcy Court – Southern District of New York.
The transaction was extremely important for the financial reorganization of the Group and contributed to enable the payment of creditors and the continuation of the company’s activities. The total amount of the transaction was R$13,849,360,000.00 equivalent to USD 2,450,000,000.00.
