Fundo de Investimento em Direitos Creditórios Verdecard (FIDC Verdecard), a receivables fund, issued its 5th and 6th series of senior units (quotas), which were distributed through a public offering with restricted distribution efforts, pursuant to CVM Instruction 476.
FIDC Verdecard invests its funds in receivables arising from purchases made with the VerdeCard credit card in Quero-Quero stores, a retail chain in southern Brazil, and in other stores, as well as in receivables arising from the refinancing of customer invoices and cash withdrawals made with the VerdeCard. Thus, the Verdecard FIDC allows the financing of thousands of consumers, and the new offering of the fund represents a renewal of this business strategy.
Machado Meyer advised Banco Itaú BBA S.A. through partner Thales Saito (pictured) and attorneys Marcus Vinicius Villa Bretherick and Jessica Aparecida Espindola De Oliveira.
Mattos Filho Advogados also acted in the transaction.
