Giamundo Neto Advogados announced Joaquim Augusto Melo as new partner

Giamundo Neto Advogados has announced Joaquim Augusto Melo de Queiroz as a new partner to reinforce its Public Law team. Focusing on Life Sciences and Electricity, the lawyer has almost 20 years of experience in large and medium-sized law firms, as well as in regulatory boutiques, with a practice focused on advising companies in the Life Sciences and Electricity sectors in matters involving Dispute Resolution, Regulatory Law, Public Bids, Public Procurement and Business Contracts.

Joaquim has participated in prominent projects and leading cases in the pharmaceutical sector in matters such as marketing authorization and drug pricing, clinical trials, incorporation of drugs to SUS, negotiations involving drugs for rare and ultra rare diseases, public bids and purchases, product recalls, and sanitary infraction notices, among others. He has also advised clients in the electric power sector on regulatory issues before the Brazilian Electric Power Agency and the Electric Power Trading Chamber, in addition to acting in administrative proceedings, lawsuits, and arbitrations.

Joaquim Augusto Melo de Queiroz holds a law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a specialization degree in Civil Procedural Law from PUC/SP.
