Souto Correa Advogados announces partner Emília Klein Malacarne as the new coordinator of the Corporate Criminal Law and Compliance area
With experience in highly complex operations and cases, Souto Correa Advogados partner Emília Klein Malacarne has assumed the coordination of the firm’s Corporate Criminal Law and Compliance area.
Emília has been part of the firm’s Corporate Penalty area since its creation in 2017. In a traditionally male market, she reports that there were countless hearings in which she was the only woman in the environment.
Emília Klein Malacarne has a master’s degree in Criminal Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and has directed her practice to Sanctions Law.
She is a specialist in Corporate Criminal Law from PUCRS, a graduate of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), and author of scientific articles on criminal law and procedure. She is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences and of the Institute for the Defense of Defense Rights (IDDD), and is also a member of the Corporate Criminal Law Committee of Full Service Offices (COPE).
