Tauil & Chequer Advogados, continues to expand its transactional tax planning capabilities with the arrival of Flávia Cavalcanti (pictured), who joins the firm’s Tax Transaction & Consulting area in Rio de Janeiro. The new partner has a highly specialized practice in corporate taxation, focusing on business reorgs, projects and M&A, with emphasis in cross-border transactions and multinational structures.
Flávia has more than 15 years of experience in consulting and tax planning, having developed a successful career in prestigious institutions, both in Brazil and abroad, and presents a distinguished professional and academic background.
Flávia has a PhD in Tax Law (USP) and obtained an LL.M. Degree in International Taxation (NYU). She is an Arthur T. Vanderbilt Scholar (NYU) and received the Flora S. and Jacob Newman Award for distinction (NYU). Flávia acts as director of the Brazilian Association of Financial Law (ABDF) and Co-Chair of the Brazilian section of the Woman of IFA Network. She is also a faculty member of the post-graduation programs of Fundação Getulio Vargas and Mackenzie University.
