Machado Meyer advises Nebras on joint venture with CEI
Machado Meyer Advogados advised Nebras Power on the creation of a joint venture in energy with Companhia Energética Integrada (CEI)
Companhia Energética Integrada (CEI), from Belo Horizonte, and Nebras Power Investment Management BV (NPIM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nebras Power QPSC, an energy investment company from Qatar, announced the formation of a joint venture in Minas Gerais.
The formation of the joint venture brings together on one hand CEI’s deep knowledge in the development of projects in Brazil and Nebras’ investment, consolidating even more the presence of a high profile player in the Brazilian market.
The joint venture will be dedicated to the development, operation and acquisition of power generation projects destined for the free contracting environment and sustainable energy projects. The transaction is therefore considered to be extremely strategic for both groups.
Machado Meyer advised Nebras do Brasil Investimentos 1 Ltda and relied on partner Jose Virgilio Lopes Enei (pictured) and lawyers Larissa Santiago Gebrim, Amanda Silva Franco de Barros, Ana Clara Gemeinder De Mendonça.
CEI Energética was represented by Fialho Canabrava Andrade Salles Advogados.
