Souza Mello assisted Financiera Independencia, S.A.B. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R. in the sale of its equity interest of its subsidiaries Independência Participações S.A. and FINSOL SCM EPP S.A. The deal value is confidential. The agreement’s effectiveness relies on the Central Bank of Brazil’s approval.
The Transaction consists of two closings. The first closing depends on the approval of the Central Bank of Brazil (“BCB”) to the Omni to acquire a minority stake in the targets. The second closing depends on the approval of the BCB to acquire the control of the targets.
