Machado Meyer and Cescon Barrieu act in CELPE debentures issue

Machado Meyer Advogados advised the issuer Companhia Energética de Pernambuco – CELPE, of Grupo Neoenergia S.A. on the 11th issue of debentures, non-convertible into shares, in three series, of unsecured species, for public distribution with restricted distribution efforts, in the total amount of R$ 500 million.

The law firm Cescon Barrieu Advogados advised UBS Brasil Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários S.A. and Banco Itaú BBA S.A., as underwriters.

The debentures were issued in accordance with Law 12,431/2011. The issue was guaranteed by a corporate guarantee from Neoenergia S.A. The debentures of the third series received a green bond certificate.
